Synthetic sterile non-absorbable suture material (Polyamide 6)

Suture material BLUE ETHILON * is a synthetic, sterile, non-absorbable monofilament thread for skin suturing.

Suture material BLUE ETHILON * is made of polyamide 6 [NH-CO- (CH2) 5] n – synthetic material. Polyamide is included in the list of non-carcinogenic materials (these materials do not expose the human body to the risk of cancer cells).

This suture material does not dissolve. Unlike absorbable threads, this material does not lose strength over time.

Suture material BLUE ETHILON * has a wide range of configurations, namely:

• Threads can have different lengths and widths;
  Supplied separately or in a set with needles.
• Needles also come in different types and sizes.
• There is a separate type of needles that can be used in a magnetic field with an induction value of up to 1.5 Tesla. Such needles have a special MRI marking.

The time period after which the stitches are removed depends on the place of their application and the type of wound, but usually the stitches are removed 30 days after the operation.

BLUE ETHILON* suture material is implanted in places where it is easy to remove by ordinary pulling of threads.
