The V.A.C.® Ulta Therapy Unit is an integrated acute wound management device that provides negative pressure wound therapy ( V.A.C.® Therapy) with instillation ( Veraflo™ Therapy).
The instillation option ( Veraflo™ Therapy) is indicated for patients who require vacuum drainage and controlled delivery of topical wound solutions and suspensions to the wound bed. Negative Pressure Wound Therapy ( V.A.C.® Therapy) aims to create an environment that promotes wound healing by secondary or tertiary (delayed primary) means of:
- Preparing the wound for closure
- Reducing edema
- Promoting granulation tissue formation and perfusion
- Removing exudate and infectious material
V.A.C.® Ulta Therapy Unit Key Features:
- Veraflo™ Therapy combines the benefits of V.A.C.® with automated solution delivery and removal, with the Smart Instill™ feature that automatically determines the volume to be instilled, preventing over- or under-filling of the dressing
- Fill Assistant: Allows manual control of the initial instillation volume and saves data for later use in the Veraflo™ Therapy mode
- Technology SensaT.R.A.C.™ maintains a set level of negative pressure at the wound site for optimal treatment outcomes
- Seal Check™ Leak Detector helps clinicians and patients detect and correct dressing leaks
- Easyclear Purge™ Technology periodically tightens and purges the internal cut-through tube lumen to prevent and eliminate blockages
- Pre-programmed therapy settings in accordance with global guidelines
- Various notification options (visual indicators, audible alarms, etc.) to monitor instillation status and negative pressure levels
- DPC (Dynamic Pressure Control) maintains low negative pressure at the wound site between cycles
